Ye Yao
Ye is a PhD student at the University of Southampton. Her research focuses on social cognition and moral identity, specifically how people perceive and evaluate themselves and others through the lens of morality. She employs behavioural experiments and electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate the underlying psychological and neural mechanisms. Currently, she is engaged in several projects examining moral superiority, schadenfreude, and nostalgia. Outside of research, Ye enjoys watching e-sports and playing squash.
