Emily Penney

Originally from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, Emily achieved a first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Southampton in 2025. 

She is now supported by the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (SCDTP) to pursue her Master's and PhD at the University of Southampton. Her research interests fall in attachment, close relationship and social experiences, and her work focuses on the neuroscientific basis of attachment-related experiences.

Outside of her academic work, Emily is an active member of the University dance society and competition team.
